Thin film dryers are used for a wide variety of applications. In fact, thin film dryer is a special type of evaporator which consists of a cylindrical, vertical or horizontal body equipped with heating jacket and a rotor inside. Additionally, wipers are provided inside the evaporator for spreading feed as a thin layer over the heated wall. The feed enters the dryer from the top and by providing heat, volatile compounds evaporate continuously with high efficiency. The final concentrated product is discharged by gravity at the bottom of the dryer.
